FerroDyn® provides iron bisglycinate, folate as ‘body-ready’ form 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) and vitamin B6, to support the formation of red blood cells, energy levels and the reduction of fatigue. Each capsule provides 28mg of elemental iron, from a highly-absorbable bisglycinate form that is gentle on the GI tract.

Iron, folate and vitamin B6 are all essential for the formation of red blood cells, that are specialised cells that transport oxygen around the body. Iron is necessary for the formation of haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is the iron-containing oxygen transport metalloprotein that is found within the red blood cells. Iron is essential for the transport of oxygen within the body.

The importance of adequate levels of iron cannot be understated. Iron plays a role in the process of cell division, meaning it is essential for the formation of ultimately every cell in the body. Iron and vitamin B6 are also necessary for a normal functioning immune system. Iron contributes to our cognitive function as well.
